The newest signing is left wingback Abdulsafi Arwae, who joins the Islanders from Pattani FC, where local fans referred to him as “Pattani’s Gareth Bale.”

Another new player is also on his way to the island: Thanathep Jiaradab, a right wingback who joins the team from PTT Rayong FC and played for Phattalung FC under Anurak Srikert, now Phuket FC’s head coach.

Mr Jakkapob has filled most of his defense and midfield, and is now on the lookout for star strikers.

Fan rumours report that he is considering a list of at least 12 strikers, including a Cameroonian teen starlet and a Ghanaian striker from an English Premier League team.
