Police met with Mr. Lee Sang Ltiol aged 35 and his 21 year old girlfriend. The pair had decided to go for a swim and as the beach was well-lit they decided to leave their personal belongings wrapped in a T-shirt and stuffed in a shoe on the shoreline.

As the pair enjoyed their swim, two Thai men arrived on a motorbike and the passenger approached their belongings and took them before driving off in the direction of South Pattaya.

A witness to the incident, Khun Narong aged 33, did attempt to chase the assailants but they were able to make-good their escape.

Items stolen include two Samsung Galaxy S3 Smart Phones, B60,000 and US$1,250 along with their passports, ATM card and hotel key.

Police are examining security camera footage as they look to arrest the pair quickly, before they strike again.
