This new initiative will allow foreign tourists to come to Thailand and take part in various service projects, most of which have to do with the environment. These projects will include working with Thailand’s elephant populations, developing the Andaman coast and providing tutoring to hill tribe children.
In conversation with the National News Bureau of Thailand, Deputy TAT Governor Pongsathorn Kessasamli said that modern travelers are interested in more than just frivolous fun, and would therefore flock to the program, which has been nicknamed “The Little Big Project.”
The TAT plans to promote the program digitally to tourists worldwide. To find out more about the project, and to sign up, check out “The Little Big Project” ‘s website.
