Phuket: Service of remembrance at British Embassy in Bangkok

THAILAND: A remembrance ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the Thai-Burma railway will be held on Sunday (11 November) at 10am at the British Embassy in Bangkok.

The ceremony, which will last around an hour will take place around the Embassy War Memorial in front of the Ambassador's Residence. 

The Order of Service will be distributed on arrival and poppies will be available for sale at the front desk should guests wish to purchase one.
 

09:45hrs          Guests start to arrive
 
                       Please bring photo ID or passport for identification
 
10:20hrs          All guests to have arrived
 
10:30hrs          Briefing for wreath-layers
 
10:40hrs          All guests to be seated
 
10.50hrs          Service of Remembrance commences (at the Embassy War Memorial)

Bulgers sound Last Post (officers salue)
 
 
11:00hrs          Two minutes silence
 
11:02 hrs         Buglers sound Reveille (no salute)
                       Wreath laying ceremony
                       Concluding prayer
 

 
Military participants should wear appropriate uniform.  Gentlemen should wear lounge suits, with medals if applicable.  Ladies are asked to be suitably attired.
