The scheduled blackout, from 7am to 5 pm, is necessary as works are carried out on installing new high-voltage power cables, the PEA noted in its statement. (Click here.)

The areas to be affected by the power outage are along the south side of Patak Rd, from the PEA substation on Karon Hill to Chalong Circle, and including Soi Plukjae.

In its announcement, the Patong PEA apologised for any inconvenience caused while the work is carried out.

For more information call the PEA at 076-345574.

The scheduled blackout timing is nice. The Chalong Patak Rd bars, disco's, clubs close between 4 and 5 AM. So, no business disturbance. Perfect.
