Phuket Marriott named ‘Thailand’s Best Resort’ at Asia Pacific Property Awards

PHUKET: The Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach is celebrating after it was named as the best “Resort Hotel for Thailand” at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2018.

Part of the International Property Awards, the Asia Pacific Property Awards celebrate the region’s leading hotels and residences. With Thailand being home to some of the Asia’s most spectacular and celebrated resort properties, this impressive award places Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach at the pinnacle of the hospitality industry.

The award was officially presented to Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach in a ceremony and gala dinner held at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park on May 4.

“We are delighted to have been named as the best Resort Hotel for Thailand in the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2018,” said David Ippersiel, General Manager of the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach.

“The standard of resorts in Thailand is extremely high, with many new world-class properties having entered the market in recent years.

“To have been selected as the Kingdom’s best resort is extremely gratifying and humbling. I would like to thank the International Property Awards for this huge honour. We look forward to welcoming many new guests to our resort in future, as a result of this prestigious award,” he added.

The Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach opened in 2016 following a complete renovation. Located on Phuket’s northwest coast, the low-rise resort features a collection of contemporary rooms, suites and beachfront pool villas, plus a choice of restaurants, a sublime spa, fitness centre and an expansive outdoor area with tropical gardens and lagoon style pools that overlook the ocean.

The resort is also one of Thailand’s top wedding destinations, with excellent facilities for all types of ceremony and celebration.

This marks the second consecutive year of success for Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach at the Asia Pacific Property Awards; last year, the resort was named as “Thailand’s Best Interior Design Hotel”, “Thailand’s Best Wedding Venue”, “Asia’s Best Wedding Venue” and “International’s Best Wedding Venue”.
