Hospitality leaders gather for tourism forum

Thailand’s hotel leaders and international experts will discuss the state of the hospitality sector at the Thailand Tourism Forum 2012 (TTF) on February 2 at the Inter-Continental Hotel Bangkok.

Key participants include Chanin Donavanik, CEO of Dusit Hotels and Resorts, Dilip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor International, and Peter Henley, CEO and President of Onyx Hospitality Group.

Providing a report card, and benchmarking Thailand and its major destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, will be key players from Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, Horwath HTL, PATA, STR Global, Quo and C9 Hotelworks.

Speaking on 2012 expectations, Mike Batchelor, Managing Director for Investment Sales of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, said, “We expect this year to see a high level of both international and domestic inflow into the country’s hotel grade assets.

Phuket’s own Bill Barnett of C9 Hotelworks will open the event and will also have the last word in his closing address.

TTF 2012 is being organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM). Participation is free and registration is available on the AMCHAM website.
