Assistant General Manager Kitt Dhivathipak joined the safety exercise together with Suriya Thongrak from the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Region 18, Chief of the Wichit Police Col Nikorn Suksom, firefighters and rescue workers.

In total 639 participants joined the exercise, held at Edu Planet at P2 (Central Festival Phuket’s parking area) including DDPM officials, emergency teams and shop staff.

Mr Kitt said, “This exercise was performed as if it were a real-life situation as it helps us escape routes and makes us more aware. We always pay attention to the safety of employees and customers.

“It is our policy to practice safety drills including fire evacuations every year. This fire drill is about preparation to connect firefighters, fire equipment and fire escape routes,” he said.

“Our next fire exercise will be held at Central Phuket Floresta in December,” Mr Kitt added.

Now, are we absolutely sure it was just a drill? After the real one just last week? Maybe EduPlanet also has the same spray-foam decorative cladding that's still legal even though all those people died in Tiger disco years back because of it? Just like new Central last week? Jusy sayin'
