The BISP now has a purpose-built indoor climbing room and activity room specially designed for bouldering, a form of low height climbing which encourages strength, agility, balance and problem-solving. Design technology teacher at BISP Jeff Fuller designed and built the room.

Painted with help from the Year 12 CAS students, the brand new bouldering wall has been designed to appeal to beginners through to experienced bouldering enthusiasts, with a variety of colour-coded routes, ranging from easy to very hard.

The Rock Climbing Room has low-level walls with extensive routes traversing at various angles. This has been created to bring the best out of new and improving climbers with a variety of roofs, overhangs and vertical slabs to a height of 2.5 metres.

This low height still allows for an extensive range of climbing grades whilst still remaining safe. The floor of the room is also completely covered with a crash mat, for added comfort and safety.

BISP Secondary students can sign up for the after school Climbing Activity. For more information email Mr Fuller at jfuller@bisphuket.ac.th
