Air Force Avia defeat Phuket FC 2-1

FOOTBALL: Phuket FC lost their Yamaha League 1 away match against Air Force Avia FC by 2 goals to 1 on Saturday, a result that seen the Islanders slip to fifth place in the Thai Division 1 league table.

It was Phuket's second back-to-back away game against Air Force team, and their fourth football game in the space of 10 days: on Wednesday, April 24, a second string Phuket squad defeated the Air Force players by 1-0 in a Thai Com FA Cup match.  

Phuket's Thongchai Kuenkunthod gave the Islanders the the lead in first half stoppage time, but Air Force fought back with second half goals from Sirodom Singtippan and their Nigerian striker Julius Oiboh to complete the comeback.

Phuket FC are now in fifth place in the league with 15 points, one point behind the top four of PTT Rayong, BBCU, Air Force and Singh Tarua - who Phuket play next, at Surakul Stadium on Saturday, May 4.
